OK, this is the first sitting of the most beautiful Stallion called Tyrus, who very sadly died earlier this year. Over the past 3 days I have laid down the background, sketched out the outline and have just laid down some very basic under painting around the face....   Some more blending and underpainting on the face, just trying to get the tonal values correct..  Managed to get a lot of blending of the face and started the underpainting of the ears Got a lot of work done down onto the neck and mane who knew that black had so many colours!   Lots more underpainting of the highlights   And there it is finished, signed and varnished !!   |
